I have a First-Class BA (Hons) in Journalism and Applied Economics from Kingston University London and solid experience in the journalism and communications fields. The last full-time role I held was Schuman trainee at the European Parliament Liaison Office (EPLO) in Rome. My main responsibilities included writing background notes and drafting speeches concerning EU policies and regulations on topics ranging from economics and human rights to the digital world and business sustainability; contributing daily to the drafting and publishing of social media content on all of EPLO Rome’s social media accounts, including live-tweeting at events; and helping with the organisation and promotion of high-level events. I also have significant journalism experience acquired primarily working for Container Management, a London-based B2B magazine dedicated to global trade. I worked full-time at its London newsroom for two years and I then worked for the magazine remotely. Working for the magazine taught me how to proactively make editorial decisions even under pressure, transform companies’ financial results and complex topics into comprehensible copy meeting very tight deadlines, and edit journalists’ articles without sacrificing their own writing style. ?I am a native speaker of Italian and a proficient user of English, a language I had the opportunity to practice on a daily basis while living in London for five years. Being a bilingual journalist with a wide-ranging experience, I can offer a comprehensive skill set, serious commitment and the ability to meet any promised deadlines.
