I would like to utilize my writing skills to inform and inspire others. I would also like to provide adequate information to any potential employers, with the hopes of receiving referrals to other potential employers. I'm capable of writing on a wide variety of subjects, having been an active employee in the workforce for close to thirty years. I've worked the vast majority of my adult life in the telemarketing/call center industry, which has provided me with a wealth of experience to draw upon. I've also served in the U.S. Military, which has also provided me with immeasurable experience with dealing with people from all backgrounds and walks of life. I'm a strong self-starter with an excellent work ethic that any employer would find to be extremely helpful towards reaching the oft mentioned "bottom line" that equates to financial success in the business sector. During this time, I've acquired many marketable skills, such as typing, Microsoft Access and other related skills that are required to be successful in the modern workplace. I also have many related hobbies, such as music, physical fitness, politics and government, which all provide me with a wide ranging source of inspiring experiences to draw upon when approaching a writing assignment. I'm an avid reader and I also cherish civic activities that also provide a wealth of inspiration to bring to writing assignments. As a resident of Chicago, Illinois, I'm able to provide an interesting perspective gained from living in the third largest city in the United States. Perspectives that are shaped by the many daily events that take place in perhaps one of America's most storied locales. As home to some of America's most fabled legends as well as some of most storied sports franchises in history, there are a plethora of topics to touch on in the "Windy City." The fact that I'm centrally located in the U.S., I'm also able to bring a "midwestern" perspective to many subjects that people in cities like Peoria, Rockford, Milwaukee, Detroit, St. Louis, Minneapolis/St Paul may find interesting. As a resident of the biggest city in the Midwest, I'm able to touch on subjects many residents of other parts of the country aren't able to address without hours of research. This equates to time flexibility that allows me to directly speak to an issue without the time constraints others would have trying to provide information on similar subjects. As a former student of Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois, I've been provided the opportunity to travel all over the state of Illinois, thus providing me with a variety of experiences exclusive to midwesterners. I'm also a well traveled individual that has an extensive knowledge of the many cities throughout the country which would also afford me the empathy of residents of other parts of the country. Experiences that would provide endless talking points for any potential writing assignments I'm assigned to do.
