I have a multidisciplinary educational background in Geography, Town and Country Planning, Tourism Management with post-graduate degrees from Indian and Canadian Universities. I belonged to Indian Revenue Service(IRS - Income Tax), Government of India. I retired as Commissioner of Income Tax after serving 27 years. Before joining Income Tax, I have worked for 5 years for a brief period 1-2 years as Research Associate in School Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, Town Planner in Goa, Research Associate in Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and also as Manager in India Tourism Development Corporation, New Delhi. After retirement in 2010, I got myself engaged in making study material for students competing for Civil Service Examination – an examination which makes them eligible for appointment in top civil service jobs in India. This job has entailed a considerable amount of Research, writing articles, rewriting, proofreading etc. It has also involved making ppts, audio and video preparations using soft wares such as Camtasia, Adobe Audition etc. With the above background in educational qualifications and work experience, I feel comfortable and enjoy working in projects/ assignments involving Research, writing articles, rewriting, editing, proofreading, ppt presentation and even making ppt based videos.
