I'm a writer. You tell me what you want me to write for you and I will. Mainly because I can and I enjoy doing so. I've always considered writing as my gift from God or a superior power (whatever sounds more politically acceptable). I value a systematized manner of communication.
When I work, I work like it is going to be the last thing I'm ever going to write and my life is over immediately. That is the kind of dedication and effort I invest in. So as someone who potentially hires me, I request you to please be respectful of me and my work. And that is not me saying that hey, don't criticize me. Please do. If something is off or not what you want/like, I encourage you to let me know.
A part of showing respect to an artist (keeping a/the writer in mind), especially when the work is remote, is to ensure that you do not delay with payments. I would love to be professional because I do take my work seriously and I would expect the same in return.
As a closing statement, while you might regret a lot of things in life, hiring me to write for you is certainly not going to be one of them.
