Commencing his career as a passionate but unpaid studio floor sweeper Sean worked his way up to his first drama directing gig on the hit Crawford Productions drama Cop Shop, following it with his first screenplay credit for the now-iconic Prisoner: Cell Block H. Highlights since include Sean’s screenplays being shortlisted for two prestigious State Premier’s Literary Awards and his work also having won Australian Writers’ Guild and Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts awards. Australian Writers’ Guild Award Winner 2009, 2008, 1999, 1996 Other career highlights for Sean include travelling bi-annually to MIP in Cannes as Director of International Sales for Crawfords Australia, marketing their back catalogue as well as identifying international co-production and pre-sale opportunities for their drama development slate. The contacts and experience Sean gained in this role was instrumental in him later creating, writing, producing and directing the pilot to a 1-hour drama series based around the Australian Customs Service for the 7 Network in Australia.
