I am a skilled writer, competent in writing both fiction and non-fiction for a range of purposes. I am able to work to specific criteria and deadlines, as is evident in the completion of my degree and I am also able to work upon my own initiative. I possess an excellent grasp of grammar and have been required to demonstrate this ability through the formatting of academic essays and theses, as well as compliance with the strict formatting requirements of the BBC and Channel Four, to whom I have submitted screenplays for film and television, which are my particular area of expertise. I possess excellent research and fact-checking skills which are used for library, internet and audio / visual media and an ability to identify and conform to House Styles and write for target audiences while applying knowledge of the subject in a concise and professional manner. This is a new role for me having completed a BA (Hons) in Professional Writing and as I am looking to establish a client base I am willing to work for less than the going rate of established proofreaders and copy editors.
