I am academically qualified, skilled, and experienced with a lot of previous knowledge in teaching, writing, translation, counseling, yoga, mediation, and research. I am interested in freelancing for making myself more engaged.
My recent Master's degree was in clinical psychology Before my Master’s degree, I completed a post-graduate diploma in school counseling. My Bachelor’s degree was in Education majoring in English. After I did my Bachelor's degree in education majoring in English, I joined my Master's degree majoring in English in the same faculty. In the course curriculum, I studied an academic course in translation as an elective subject. I have also completed a lot of academic courses in writing skills in English and English literature. I have also finished a Yoga teacher training course at the national university of Nepal. I have also completed reiki level II from an authentic institution and have completed level III (master) from Udemy online course
I worked as an English teacher in an English medium school for more than 12 years and I worked at the high school level for more than seven years. While working in the school, I worked on developing the curriculum and preparing documents including making translations of official, unofficial, and academic documents. I worked as an academic writer for the school. I worked in the field of professional and formal writing where I built up skills in writing minutes, resumes (CV), contract letters, preparing certificates, letters of recommendation, writing a proposal, and so on. While teaching English, I have taught formal writing, writing news articles, essay writing, etc. I have also experience in teaching translation skills as additional language skills to high school students. I can write articles, stories, and poems (both verse and prose). I can use any literary figure like metaphor in any piece of writing (except scientific writing) with a beautiful style and colored tone. However, nowadays, I have given priority to clarity and precision in writing.
I have also been involved in tool validation research projects. Therefore, I have experience in translation (English to Nepali) along with back-translation (Nepali to English - those already translated from English to Nepali) so far. I have also studied the 'Think Aloud' protocol used in translation because any error in tool translation could lead to a potential bias. These real-life work experiences have assisted me to grow in the diversified but associated fields.
I also worked as an academic counselor where I assisted students in the translation and preparation of documents in English. I was involved in helping the students in making appropriate documents like writing a statement of purpose (SOP) and translating their academic and other documents.
Now, I work as a psychology lecturer. I have to prepare teaching content. I also do write psychological content for different papers.
I hope the employers will recognize my work after they assigned it.
