I am a graduate of UC San Diego with a degree in Biological Anthropology. This background has given me unique insights into human interaction and decision making processes, as well as honing my research and writing skills. Over the course of the past two years I have also managed the membership of the largest women’s organization at UC San Diego, providing support for community members and collaborating with individuals nationally to create progressive and welcoming policies for our community. Through this position I have honed my event management, organization, and communication skills. I have had the opportunity to create and lead presentations to groups of up to 250 people with a focus on fostering aligned community expectations and supportive group dynamics. I was able to plan and manage a recruitment event that required communication and negotiation with vendors from across the country. I collaborated with marketing personnel to develop multiple forms of media marketing for the event, leading to an increase of 20% in viewership of our media platforms. Prior to this position I was a sales associate for Lucy Activewear and was responsible for communicating with customers to satisfy their needs and monitoring stock. These positions have given me the experience that I feel would be of great benefit to many industries.
