I am an experienced writer, researcher, photographer. I authored three books published by the scholarly press Avotaynu (in CT) and an upcoming book to be published soon by Wilderness Press. My freelance pieces (articles, essays, interviews) have appeared in the New York Times, Daily News, New York Teacher, Academic Library Book Review, MetroImma, CJ Voices, and several other publications. I have covered a variety of topics: urban history, parenting, writing, education, music, architecture, religion and ethnic topics, movie reviews, New York City issues, etc. I helped edit a monthly synagogue bulletin for three years, and penned essays for it. As a veteran high school and middle school teacher, I wrote lesson plans, created curriculum packages, wrote evaluations and IEPs, and created PowerPoints. See my Facebook page "The Lost Synagogues of New York City" for examples of my brief writing and photography skills.
