The art and culture of every place define it and makes it different from everywhere else. Therefore I feel I am worthy of this position because I am devoted towards pursuing a career as a journalist. I want to reach across to the audience and create a platform for myself as well as benefit the society by educating the world about the many untold stories of so many destroyed lives out there and sure I will never win if I never begin. I identify with the motive of the society and hence, I believe I will give it my best shot. Along with my scholastic and non-scholastic achievements, during the past years, I have been a part of various child development initiatives in my city in association with nongovernmental organizations, as well as with the Government of India. Through these initiatives, I got the one time opportunity to interact with underprivileged students and to educate and write blogs on slum children, who are deprived of basic education due to their financial circumstances. I worked very hard to get these slum students a scholarship so that they can go to real schools and be well educated. I have, without any apprehension, given an assortment of public speeches and writen inumerable articles and performed various street plays, trying to be a medium of change and educating the masses about various sensitive social issues that exist in our society such as child labour, bullying, LGBTQ issues etc. I have good writing skills and analytical skills that help me write on any topic on the spot without any hesitation,. Writing has been a very fundamental part of my life as, I love to investigate and ponder on a new topic, which keeps me up to date about day to day events and widens my knowledge. I have been to numerous writing competitions and won most of them. Accepting and mounting these skills have guided me to develop into a vocal person and considerably I have become more convinced about my argumentative and writen skills. I am very confident in my ability to communicate my thoughts via pen because of which my ideas are well delivered and very clear to whomever it is being communicated to.
