Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed his people from the platform of the main "underground" Kyiv metro station.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Saturday that he believed Russia might use a nuclear weapon,

 but he did not want to imagine the possibility of that happening.

Biden holds a meeting with defense officials on the war in Ukraine

Zelensky had earlier appeared with a background similar to a barracks, as he appeared in a basement in

 military clothing, with an unshaven chin, to deliver messages of encouragement to the Ukrainian people, and

 messages with the meaning of "suffering in the midst of war" to the western side.

Zelensky said he will meet with the US defense and foreign ministers in the capital, Kyiv, on Sunday.

It is noteworthy that Austin and Blinken's visit will be the first of its kind by representatives of the US government

 to Ukraine since February 24, the date of the beginning of the Russian military operation in Ukraine.

Politically, Ukraine offered Russia to hold negotiations in the besieged city of Mariupol, according to Al-Arabiya.

 Al-Arabiya quoted its sources as saying that Russia has deployed 17 combat groups in Ukraine during the past

 24 hours. The US Treasury has announced new sanctions against dozens of individuals in Russia, including 29

 people and 40 entities. The new US sanctions affected the Russian Commercial Bank and a Russian unit for

 mining virtual currencies.
