April is an entertainment and production professional from Chattanooga, TN, who has starred and co-starred in a number of independent film and television productions over the years.
Around age five, April discovered an interest in playing with these “gadgets” called cameras! Her love for cameras lit a fire and at age eight she began working as a Kid’s News Reporter at a local ABC affiliate station. April hungered for the stage and at 14 she was chosen to compete in the world renown Ms. Tennessee Teen USA pageant.
After graduation, April went on to work as a General Assignment Reporter and News Room Manager for a CBS and Fox affiliate station.
Using her extensive experience in over 20 years of broadcast news, entertainment and production experience April moved to Los Angeles, CA in 2004. Since in Los Angeles, April has worked as an Independent Producer, Development Producer, Project Manager and Post Supervisor for major networks, studios, industry icons and nonprofit organizations. Her proudest accomplishment was working on assignment as producer in New Orleans. It was there, April was integral in restoring internet service to residences in the Ninth Ward, a community severely affected by Hurricane Katrina. Shortly thereafter, April founded Quiana Group in 2008.
April is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Mass Communication and Psychology.
