Experienced and hard-working BIM Professional
I have worked in the civil and structural engineering industry for 15 years, starting out at a small consultancy working on a variety of projects ranging from nuclear decommissioning work to residential and commercial developments.
I then moved into the rail and highways infrastructure sector working for larger consultancies such as Parsons Brinckerhoff, Jacobs Engineering and Mott MacDonald. This work covered upgrades to regional rail networks and stations, modifications to existing assets for rail electrification works and new-build design on major rail infrastructure projects encompassing tunnel portal structures, bridges and ancillary infrastructure such as culverts and noise barriers.
In my spare time I spend most of my time looking after and playing with my 3 young children, trying to find the odd chance to sneak in a trip to the pub to catch up with friends and watch football!
