By weekday, I am a document imaging operator for my State. I have designed and implemented custom file management applications to more quickly handle the myriads of documents I deal with on a daily basis.

Please see my portfolio for some idea of applications that I've built to help with file management. These are in PDF format:

Application - DATED: In my day job, I am currently re-packaging our files to be downloaded as one document for any prospective buyers of our facilities. A few years ago, there was a snafu that necessitated that our files be restored from backup on one day, 5/12/2014. So most of our files have this modified date. I wrote a program to extract the Created Date directly from these PDFs so that I could more quickly list them in Reverse Chron order to be packaged.

Application EXTRACT: This application that I created helps me to send files with the same name and somewhat-same destination to their final resting place with just a keypress. It saves about 2 hours every time I have to do this (lately about three times a year).

Other applications include a "Safe Copy" feature that includes the ability to count the number of pages in each PDF document for comparison.


I use Access to manage the archives of some of these files that are "dead", to be able to call them up again when needed. I have created several databases for tracking active and inactive facilities.

I know a little bit about using PHP and MySQL for database websites. In the past, I have designed websites based on these two programming languages.

For Excel's purposes, I write programs that reformat text to neatly copy into Excel's tabbed formats, and can program applications that use the Clipboard to help with data management across applications.
