I have been freelance editing for the past ten years, but only just launched own editing business in February, 2014. My strengths lie in helping writers find plot holes and inconsistencies in character arcs. My absolute favorite are content edits. I can be your plot-soundboard if you're just getting started, or I can provide you with nitty-gritty, in-depth critique to help take your manuscript to the next level.
My first love is young adult, especially fantasy and sci-fi, but I love all stories with larger-than-life characters. (And if you feel your characters are a little lackluster, I'll help bring out their unique spark.)
I've been dubbed The Word Butcher among my clients--if your manuscript is a little on the long side, give me a crack at it and I'll shave it down. (My average is 10k cut per manuscript.)
I'm also a writer and have six completed manuscripts under my belt. I am currently between agents but I'm experienced in navigating the query trenches, so if you need help tweaking that query, we can work on that, too.
