Hello! My name is Mykel and I just graduated high school last year. In place of starting college, I decided to travel to Thailand where I've been living for the past few months working a for a non-profit orphanage home called Warm Heart Worldwide located in the northern hill-tribe villages. Here, I collaborate on projects related to sustainable agriculture, public health, and of course - English teaching. In addition, I currently help manage the organization's social media pages as well as their blog.
I've worked many tedious entry-level jobs through high school, but this is the first opportunity I've had to contribute something substantial on my own terms. I'd love to get some freelance experience before I start college as well, to hone my writing skills and to have something on my resume when I'm applying to undergraduate internships.
When I'm not busy working on projects here, I love to go hiking around the mountains and farmland. Exploring the country is a great way to meet new people and practice the language. Music is also a big hobby of mine, I'm often playing guitar, piano, or producing digitally in my free time.
Work Terms
I'm open to discussion about hours, however I would prefer somewhere around the ballpark of 10-20 hours a week for long term jobs. Monday through Friday work best for me, but I'm available on weekends given prior notice.
Paypal or direct deposit is my preferred method of payment.
