I'm Steve and I have years of experience delivering projects in WordPress, PHP and Javascript. I build websites, plugins and themes and I have extensive knowledge of all areas of the WordPress platform.
I work with both creative agencies and private clients to help translate their designs and requirements into online websites and apps.
This can often be delivered via standard themes and plugins with just some simple tweaks. A deep understanding of WordPress and how themes and plugins can be made to interact is essential to identifying and delivering suitable solutions here.
An example of this can be seen at the NT Realty website (see portfolio for images and links) which uses the standard Real Estate 7 theme extended with a child theme that provides extra management functionality such as extended lookups and print functionality.
Sometimes though, standard WordPress is not enough and the solution will require that I develop a custom theme or plugin to meet a client's very specific requirement.
An example of this would at be the Win A Dinner website (see portfolio for images and links) which uses the modern Blocksy theme with some simple tweaks alongside a custom developed plugin that provides the core of the site functionality: registration, account management, graceful ad-blocker handling (the daily prize draw is funded by adverts), daily draw, claims management and notification handling.
I also have plugins published in the WordPress Plugin Repository so you can be assured that any custom coding I deliver will be well documented and will adhere to the WordPress coding standards.
