For Freelancers, the following validations indicate credibility and attract Employers to work with them.
Earnings
Earnings indicate that the Freelancer has successfully delivered work and got paid on the platform. Freelancer earnings are displayed as follows:
If a Freelancer has a transaction history on Guru and has also earned in the last 12 months, their earnings/per year is displayed.
If a Freelancer has earnings but has not earned in the last 12 months, we display “Past Earnings.”
We recommend Freelancers to build their transaction history over time. A strong profile with impressive transaction history (All-Time Transaction Data) helps Freelancers attract larger Employers and bigger jobs on Guru.
ID Verification
If a Freelancer has not been paid for a job on Guru yet, there will be no earnings to show. In this case, we display their ID verification status.
Freelancers with a verified ID have a green check displayed with their name.
We encourage Freelancers with no earnings to verify their identity on Guru. It gives Employers some assurance when working with a Freelancer with no transaction history. Read more about ID Verification.
Membership
Freelancers who actively take up freelancing jobs on Guru subscribe to a paid membership and are displayed with a ‘MEMBER’ tag with their name.
Employers consider the above validations at the time of searching for Freelancers and when they are reviewing Quotes received for a job. Hence, having these validations displayed on your profile is a great way to establish your credibility.
