Ashley Baker has worked with non-profit organizations to craft compelling stories about their work for more than five years. After completing her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry degree at Sweet Briar College in Virginia (2015), she was inspired by sustainability innovations to move from lab work to communications and outreach. While in Washington, DC, Ashley collaborated with global brands and national non-profits alike to create engaging narratives about safer chemistry. A storyteller at heart and drawn to the Pacific Northwest by a love of nature, she moved to Portland and completed her Master’s Degree in Multimedia Journalism at the University of Oregon in Portland (2020). As a videographer and journalist, Ashley is guided by principles of community and relational engagement. She is also the owner of a small business, 3 Bakers Media, in which she offers services including videography, motion graphic design and communications consulting. Since moving to Oregon, she has been thrilled to shift her focus to highlighting the importance of art in creating resilient communities as well as further developing her own craft. Ashley is currently the Communications and Program Manager for Tualatin Valley Creates.
