Born in Memphis, Tennessee and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Frederick Haddox was brought up with a duel cultural perspective. One stemming from his families' southern background, while the other within the community of a Dutch-influenced town. It wasn't until years after moving to the Washington D.C. area that Frederick didn't become involved in self-help principles. While attending George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, he found himself counseling many students and building personal relationships. Frederick had to leave school and work for more tuition. With his family living in Asia, Frederick had to deal with bouts of depression. (to be continued)
