David possesses 18 years of medical device research and development experience. David has experience in all aspects of medical device companies, including regulatory affairs, quality assurance, marketing, mergers and acquisitions, and IPO’s. He was part of the leadership team responsible for the IPO of Horizon Medical Products (HMP) in 1997, for the merger of HMP and RITA in 2004, and the merger of RITA and Angiodynamics in 2007. Mr. Smith’s experience includes taking products from concept to market. He is the primary inventor on two issued patents, and on 6 pending applications. The patented products have added more that 25 million in revenue to his previous employer since their launch. Mr. Smith holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Florida State University and an MBA from the University of West GA.
