My name is Dr. A. Jane Marczewski. I was born and brought up in the UK and am a native English speaker.
My academic background is biological sciences. I gained a BSc hons. in molecular biology (2001) from the University of Edinburgh, an MSc in Ecology from the University of Aberdeen (2005) and a PhD in systematic botany in 2001, also from the University of Aberdeen but in association with the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh.
I have experience working as a research scientist and I understand with publication process, including reviewing papers, well. I have been working as a scientific editor since 2014.
I love travelling, and have lived and worked in Namibia, Greece and China before moving to Germany. I now live just south of Munich with my husband and a lot of plants.
My areas of expertise include plant taxonomy and systematics, plant ecology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, phylogenetics and biogeography.
Work Terms
I work from home, normally between 8:30 and 17:30 CET, but will work longer if I have a lot of work to finish quickly. Because most of my customers are from other countries (and continents), my preferred method of contact is either through this platform or by e-mail.
