Data has the advantage of being able to tell you anything you need to know about your company.
The downside to data is that it can either tell you nothing or tell you the wrong things about your company.
As a data analyst, my job is to assist you in extracting stories and insights that are relevant and meaningful to your company. I try to accomplish this in a variety of ways:
Assemble the Datasets
Nobody wants to work in a sloppy workplace. Why should data be any different? Datasets can be massive, thus cleanliness and structure are essential.
Make Datasets Look Good
The data should be simple to understand. Not only does consistent and tidy formatting assure correct data structures, but it also makes it easier to deal with.
Make data collection a simple procedure.
Every firm today works with enormous databases, and the more the better. However, data collecting can be a headache. Getting data from the platforms and technologies you use to run your business should be automatic, consistent, and done as quickly and regularly as feasible, ideally instantaneously.
Tell stories don't just show charts
It's a combination of art and technological understanding. For any data analyst or data scientist, this is perhaps the most difficult task. The most intriguing element of my profession will always be telling relevant stories and uncovering interesting insights.
My experience with data analytics spans over 2 years of working with Excel, Tableau, Google Spreadsheets, Python, R and SQL
I've worked with social media datasets from platforms like Facebook and Google Analytics.
I've automated processes with python and R.
I am currently intensively working with Python, Pandas, SQL an other libraries that goes with it.
