“A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.”
I graduated bachelor of science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from a well known school in our country.
I had my first job working for a call center company based in the US. I worked as a technical / back office support for AT&T which is one of the biggest telecommunications company in the US.
Afterwards when our account closed, I started working as a Sales Agent / Broker for a Realty Management company. There I stayed until i can find a job that suited my degree. Eventually I found Intercontinental Hotels Group, which is one of the biggest hotel chains worldwide. There, I was able to use my work experience from being a call center agent, as well as the training I got from my bachelor's degree considering that this company I applied for specializes with hotels and accommodations as well as guest services.
For a couple of years I worked there until I decided to pursue greener pasture. I found work at UnitedHealth Group, which is an American managed health care company based in Minnetonka, Minnesota and ranked 5th among the Fortune 500 companies.
They offered higher salary and better benefits so I decided to pursue a career with them. Unfortunately after a year, I had to resign due to health reasons, so i decided to pursue a home based freelance career.
I eventually found a job as an appointment setter for a US based company, and only after a couple of months I got promoted as a manager and handled my own team of appointment setter.
I was assigned management tasks as well as recruitment and interviews. After two years I decided to leave this work because I had to take care of our family business.
Now, the family business is once again stable so I am back to freelancing and hoping to find another job where I can utilize the skills I learned throughout my vast work experience.
