Writing has always been one of my strong points, and I have enjoyed writing for industry publications as part of my career in market research. It is a childhood passion for which I have never really had a chance to fulfill as a full-time job, mainly because the compensation level required me to sacrifice the lifestyle that I wanted to lead back then. Now the additional revenue from my online side business is allowing me to pursue the jobs that truly interest me without worrying too much about salary.

I'm drawn to start-ups and small businesses. Twelve years ago, I began my career in qualitative research at the prestigious market research agency Millward-Brown. However, after a few years in, I opted for a newly established boutique youth marketing agency instead. I later spent four years pioneering a youth trends intelligence tool for Mindshare Asia-Pacific, recruiting and managing a team of opinion leaders in 12 cities from Tokyo to Delhi, to curate for authentic, local content from 'the streets'. Later, the independently-owned, award-winning advertising agency Wieden+Kennedy recruited me to work at their Shanghai office - a chance I jumped at immediately. After a while, I grew restless with the traditional structure of an ad agency and craved for a more tangible, hands-on business experience. Three years ago, I returned to Bangkok to found my own small line of hand-made leather accessories, which I still run today.
