Software Developer with experience in application development, test automation, and DevOps

I have extensive experience designing and implementing complex software systems. During my career I've worked on multiple satellite command and control systems, both at the high level, as a systems engineer, and at a detailed level, writing production code and test automation code.

My strengths are scripting in Java and Python, writing automated tests in Cucumber, implementing messaging architectures in SOAP XML, performing continuous integration and delivery using DevOps, and leading Agile development teams.

I've worked on software applications from initiation through delivery, and from the back end to the front end. I have expertise in implementing complex algorithms and managing large-scale and complex SOA architectures.

Another strength of mine is my ability to understand systems at the big-picture level, managing complex interactions, using context to create high quality solutions, and communicating very effectively with leads, customers, and other stakeholders.

As a leader of Agile teams, I have gained great experience in technical leadership. I currently maintain Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and SAFe Product Owner/Product Manger (POPM) certifications.

My work in the aerospace field has also given me valuable experience in scientific computing, including data analysis, developing complex algorithms, and performing complex analysis in the fields of control systems, structural analysis, and thermal analysis and computational fluid dynamics.

Work Terms

I'm available to work either on long-term projects with over 20 hours per week, or more short term projects on a part-time basis. I work in the Denver area, but can travel and conduct face-to-face meetings for projects.
