I’m Adam Miller, a typical teenager who always loved writing stories. But I often found myself frustrated by spelling mistakes and awkward sentences that seemed to creep into my work. One afternoon, while searching online for tips to improve my writing, I stumbled upon the idea of proofreading. Intrigued, I dove into learning everything I could about editing.
Excited by what I discovered, I started offering to proofread my classmates’ essays. To my surprise, they really appreciated my attention to detail and the feedback I provided. Encouraged by their responses, I created a simple website to promote my services. Soon, students from other schools began reaching out for help, and I was thrilled.
As my proofreading business grew, I realized I had found my passion. Balancing schoolwork and my proofreading gig was challenging, but it was worth it. I even hosted workshops to teach others about clear writing, which I enjoyed immensely.
By the time I graduated, I had not only refined my own skills but also built a successful business. This journey set me on the path to pursue English Literature in college. Through this experience, I discovered that helping others with their writing could be just as fulfilling as writing my own stories.
