Art is soul

I'm Adeela Zahid from Pakistan, currently living in Cotonou Republic of Benin,working as a freelance artist and art teacher.I hold Masters degree in Fine Arts.From my earliest achievement in grade three the art teacher realised that I have inborn ability to draw and paint.My Mother was the first person to appericiate and encourage on every achievement.
In grade five my mother's sudden death deeply shoked me as I had closest bond with her.I started sharing my everyday thoughts and struggles with my art teacher.She utterly supported me from providing fine arts material to motivating me by saying,"You have a Godgifted talent".Her helping hand paved the way to more achievements, I went on making many portraits of my classmates,teachers including my
own self portrait in grade six.Earliest inspiration was my elder brother who had exquisite drawing skill.We daily practiced portrait making and shared to eachother for more perfection.

After school life while stepping into grduation,I showcased my paintings to different events and galleries, participated in group shows at Nomad Center and Art Gallery,Jharoka Gallery ,Pakistan National Council of Arts including one solo show at Nomad Center and Art Gallery.
While living in Pakistan I had my own private art academy and gallery in Islamabad.From 2010 to 2014 we held summer art camps and art classes for for kids and adults.I still continue teaching drawing and painting in Lebanese International school Benin, teaching art to females at home as well as doing commissioned portraits and paintings.
My work spectrum is drawing ,painting,sculpture,illustration and photography. Primary medium that I love is acrylics and oils and most of my work represents the spectacular beauty of God's creation around us it maybe a beautiful portrait,landscape,a bird,architecture or any form that motivates me to draw and paint I just do it for my own pleasure and self satisfaction.
