My passion for e-commerce began in my basement rather than a boardroom. Years ago, motivated by a lifetime interest in researching and selling handmade crochet apparel, I began crocheting in my leisure time. Turning this passion into a sellable product seemed overwhelming at first. Setting up an online business, creating appealing listings, and catching attention in a busy marketplace was a completely new world for me.
But I was determined. I spent numerous evenings reading e-commerce blogs, watching tutorials, and playing with platforms such as Etsy and Shopify. The early challenges were real: photographs that didn't do my work justice, listings that didn't convert, and the never-ending battle for visibility.
My interest in the science and art of e-commerce grew over time. I read everything I could about marketing methods, customer psychology, and the ever-changing world of internet purchasing.
It wasn't long before colleagues and fellow craftspeople began asking for my assistance. Witnessing their problems paralleled my own, and I felt great joy in coaching them through the process of developing their internet presence. Seeing their enterprises thrive inspired me to assist even more people turn their creative aspirations into successful realities. That's when I decided to make the formal shift from passionate hobbyist to full-fledged e-commerce expert.
