HVAC/plumbing design - commercial projects including offices, medical clinics, hotels, apartments, restaurants, churches, fellowship halls, expo centers, laboratories, aircraft hangers, manufacturing buildings, ventilation/heating, etc. from small projects to large projects (100,000 sf). System types include DX split or packages, VRF ductless systems, chilled water plants (air-cooled or water-cooled) and boiler plants.
Pipe stress analysis for process systems and packaged skid design (ASME B31.3) - load cases including sustained, operating, wind and seismic, pump nozzle loads, nozzle flexibility, support design and layout, spring/constant support hangers, expansion loop/offset design, flange leakage analysis (ASME Sect. VIII Div. 1 Appx. 2), psv thrust calculations, creating 3D fabrication models and isometrics of piping system skids for offshore platforms. Expert in CAESAR II pipe stress software. Also have experience with Autopipe software.
Drawings include isometric pipe support drawings with BOM's, equip. schedules and max. support load schedules.
Piping system design - flow diagrams, equipment sizing, pipe p-drops, pump selection and drawings.
Fabricated steel design and stress calculations for a variety of mechanical assemblies including equipment stands, supports, lifts, etc. for an energy equipment manufacturer. Analysis includes finite element and frame analysis.
Create drawings using Autocad, Autocad Plant 3D or Inventor Professional.
Licensed P.E. in NC, SC, VA and PA and member of NCEES.
