I strive to capture the visions presented by clients whom expect no less. In Visual Arts, Design and Writing, my passions are apparent as I execute projects in an efficient, precise manner.
Some of the richest experiences which molded who I am today can be accredited to the continual support of my family and close friends. For instance, the first favorite art subject is anatomy, which my brother Javi encouraged and supported through books and teaching with his natural talent in traditional drawing techniques. Scientific illustrations of all kinds naturally developed from there. In Fashion Design, I learned croquis illustrations; multi-media used for modeling garments on croquis; flat pattern-making; specs and story-boarding among other principles. Today I am honored to have used and mastered most any type of art medium through consistent, passionate practice and study. Most recently as I had to mount a piece for exhibition, resourcefulness kicked in. This project titled: "Speak and Spell Re-envisioned," required a balance to keep it in place in order to show well, while functioning as intended. It includes painting on self-mounted canvas, framing, building a box format, research, writing and a musical component as its surprise element. Those last minute adjustments are all a product of being a knowledge seeker and creative practitioner. Being part of a huge family really helped along the way, as well! To me it's been second-nature to be ready for anything, while applying a positive approach to all I do and love. The excitement of executing projects to completion as envisioned- whether they are my own or those of clients, is truly the best reward for me as an Artist. Advice to young aspiring artists: 1. Eyes and ears open at all times- mouth shut unless necessary. See, listen and learn first. 2. The only wrong question is the one you don't ask. 3. Reading will take you to places you couldn't imagine in your wildest creative dreams- for anything you wish to learn.
Thank you for your time in learning about me and my artistic endeavors!
