A seasoned professional with diverse career spanning teaching, network administration, and consulting, freelancing in graphics design and video editing.
I am a graduate from Addis Ababa University, Natural Science, Math department in 1990. After some years of work, I studied my Masters degree in Computer Science University of Atlanta, USA.
I started my first Job as an Assistant graduate or lecturer in a government college. As an additional task I was also involved in planning and programming for about 5 years in government office.
Then I joined a private Computer college called Infotech as a programmer and Instructor which was a pioneer training centres in the 90's.
Then I worked in various International NGOs as a Trainer, and System or network administrator. During these yeas I did further studies in Microsoft and Cisco Certifications with accomplishment of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Cisco Certified Network Professional.
Following this I moved to United Nations agencies like UNICEF, United Nations Mission in Darfur and the World Bank Group. In these organizations, I worked in different capacities like Information Technology Support, System/Network Admin, Network engineer and head of Information & Communication Technology unit. My latest work assignment was in a United Nations mission in another country from which I came back to my home country. And am now working as consultant, freelancer and manager of my own printing company.
In general, my excellence is in teaching, configuring Cisco devices, utilizing all Microsoft Office products, graphic design using Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, video editing with CapCut & CANVA, and designing websites using WordPress.
Work Terms
Less than 30 hours a week and I am willing to be paid between 20 to 100 $ depending on type of project.
