Bill Reames lives in Searcy, Arkansas where he was born and nurtured his talent from a young age. He has an Associates' degree in Commercial Art and has used in in his career as a prepress production artist and a museum exhibit specialist. His finely rendered pen and ink drawings are detailed and realistic, showing the influence of Will Eisner and Burne Hogarth. He is currently reviving his interest in comics and illustration.
Bill Reames was born and raised just outside of Searcy, Arkansas in the small rural community of Center Hill. His first exposure to art that left an impact on him was thru a box of comics given to him by an older cousin. In the pages of Casper and Hot Stuff he found his calling in life. As he grew older, he discovered the likes of Will Eisner, Joe Kubert, Robert Crumb and Timothy Truman. In 1981 he earned an Associates degree in Commercial Art and spent the next 20 years as a Production PrePress Artist, before becoming an Exhibits Specialist for the Old Statehouse Museum in Little Rock, AR.
Over the years he has dabbled in Comic Books, Flash Art, T Shirt design and Story Illustration.
After being away from it for several years he has recently revived his interest in comics and illustration.
