Akhmet attended UCLA Extension Film Scoring Program, where he absorbed knowledge from the creators of music for the “Nightmare on Elm Street,” “Scary Movie 3,” “Invasion America,” as well as from the orchestrators of today’s triple AAA projects. While assisting Laurent Eyquem on “Speed Kills” and the award-winning TV Series “Clash of Futures,” Akhmet composed music for multiple short films including “Jack Turbo” and “Deus Ex Machina.” He was elected from a vast pool of contenders to take part at the SESAC workshop headed by Danny Lux and Christophe Beck in 2019. Akhmet interned at Hans Zimmer's studio in 2018. While at the Purcell School of Music in the UK, he was pleasantly surprised to win first place at the EPTA UK 2008 composers competition and the cup for the most outstanding composition in the competition. Akhmet graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London in piano performance. His piano career includes solo recitals at the Southbank Centre in London, Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, The Purcell School of Music, Manchester during the Scarlatti Festival and in remote locations across the UK and Kazakhstan.
