I am a multi-lingual globe-trotting Austin native living in China pursing my Master's degree and crosses cultural barriers with extensive experience abroad in the work I do.
I was born and raised in Austin, Texas where I grew up playing lacrosse, enjoying BBQ and experiencing the outdoors. As a high school student I had my first experience of moving abroad to China for a year of immersion alone. It was then when I discovered my passion for life abroad.
For college I ventured East and graduated from Haverford College in 2016 with a degree in political science, minor in Chinese and concentration in Peace, Justice and Human Rights. My passion for all things international didn't stop there but were amplified as I had the opportunity to work in China as an education consultant and work on new curriculum in experimental schools sponsored by the education bureau in Gansu province. Another summer I worked in Jogjakarta Indonesia as a research intern during the presidential elections of Jokowi-Prabowo analyzing the relationship between politics and inter-faith relations amongst youth. Later in my undergraduate years I was also able to study abroad in Ifrane, Morocco to study international law and Arabic.
Other experiences I have include working as a lending and administration intern at a non-profit micro-finance company, as a policy analyst in local government and as a case-manager at a non-profit education company.
Currently, I am living in China (Shanghai area) finishing my Master's degree while I teach english and intern at an intellectual property law firm.
