I've been a developer on the web since 1997 and have extensive experience in front-end development, server-side applications, and product management.
I began developing websites in high school for local businesses and continued freelancing through college. After school, I worked for a internet server provider implementing their customer-facing management tools. After a few years, I moved to an advertising agency where I served as an integrated digital producer.
With friends from the ad agency, we spun off our own digital design and development agency which we ran from Miami Beach for three years. In the third year, we began to develop a publishing platform that attracted interest from venture capitalists. Our team was accepted into a prestigious business incubator program, and spent the next two years in New York City partnering with major brands to develop our platform.
I still am active on a day-to-day basis with that business, but often like to do small projects for others to keep my skills sharp.
Work Terms
I work on side-projects at odd hours, but am always available over email during standard east coast business hours – I find email to be a great way of clearly communicating project requirements, expectations, and answering questions.
I prefer to do fixed project pricing. We clearly delineate requirements, formalize a scope, and get the project done for the quoted price.
