ESG and Sustainable Supply Chain Advisor and Trainer

Having worked in Asia and globally for over 30 years, Alex brings a unique perspective to development issues. In the early 1990s, he brought together a network of civil society actors, governmental bodies, industry associations, and labor groups to raise working conditions in the Thai garment sector. Later, he built up a social auditing consultancy and trained teams throughout North and Southeast Asia to conduct agricultural and manufacturing assessments. Concurrently, Alex worked as a university lecturer and carried out extensive research on the Thai organic agriculture movement. In the last two decades, he also has conducted capacity-building and research for many multilateral organizations including the FAO, IUCN, ILO, UNDP, and USAID. Alex’s work has focused on CSR/ESG/SDG advisory services, training development and delivery, social impact assessments, and technical reports for public and private sector clients throughout Asia, Latin America, and Africa. In the last several years, Alex has developed substantial expertise on ESG capacity development at the national level through UNDP assignments in Botswana, Ethiopia, and the Maldives.
