Russian market: consulting, market research, due diligence, partner search, project management

During almost 24 years, I was employed by the U.S. Department of Commerce/International Trade Administration/Global Markets and the U.S. and foreign Commercial Service in the U.S. Embassy in Russia as a Commercial Specialist based in St. Petersburg. Due to the Russian Government’s directive on July 28, 2017 ordering the U.S. Embassy to reduce staffing my position was closed and the U.S. Consulate in St. Petersburg was closed later. My responsibilities included promoting exports of U.S. products and services; planning and administering activities to facilitate investment by U.S. companies in Russia; advocating, when necessary, on behalf of U.S. commercial enterprises and interests and US Government policies and initiatives; developing substantive knowledge of the Russian market; developing and maintaining mid to high-level contacts in government, trade associations and the business community; writing in-depth market research studies; providing substantive counseling to U.S. business executives on investing and marketing in Russia, and for Russian business executives regarding potential American partners; planning and supporting a number of trade promotion events.

Now, I am a contractor for the U.S. Embassy Commercial Service rendering business services such as a partner search, due diligence, project management and market research.

I am a specialist in the field of international business relations, having excellent knowledge and experience in export promotion and government and corporate communications in Russia.

I have extensive experience of account management, coordination, business correspondence, negotiations, market study and market research reports, partner search and due diligence. I participated in organization of U.S. trade missions to Russia, Russian buyers’ delegations to trade shows in the United States, U.S. companies’ presentations for potential clients/distributors, and customized market research.
