Im here to work hard and complete the task.
My name is Alexandra Cox, I have experienced vintages in Templeton, Australia, and Napa. I recently graduated from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, USA, about four hours from Chicago, with a B.A. in Environmental Science with a concentration in Physics. At Earlham I was a member of the Women’s Varsity Basketball team and volunteered at the local Boys and Girls Club of America, an organization that reaches out to underprivileged youth nationwide. I have a diversity of experiences working in vintage. I started working in vintage as a lab technician in St. Helena, California at the Trinchero Family Estates. There I gained valuable experience with the scientific side of winemaking from routine laboratory and enzymatic analyses to sampling. Apart from gaining valuable practical and laboratory experience working for a sizeable company, I fell in love with the winemaking process. I am able to combine my scientific background with an ancient process to create a product that millions enjoy. My second harvest I was a cellar hand at Kirrihill Winery in South Australia. Here, I quickly acclimated to my new environment and responsibilities that included racking, additions, and cleaning tanks. I recently finished harvest apart of the Turley Vineyards team expanding my knowledge on barrel work and the press. While the work is more hands on and vigorous, I find it equally, if not more, fulfilling. Like being on the basketball team at Earlham, I enjoy the group dynamic and the vigorous work required of me.I have meticulous attention to detail, am confident working independently while also be a constructive team member, and am a dedicated, hardworking, and flexible employee.
