Hello Friend: Here's a brief of my journey as a bilingual Translator
Growing up in a bilingual household, both Parents sides wanted children that spoke fluently their native Langiages. Well this did go a long way shaping me as a professional Translator that i am today. My mother, a French native, and my father, hailing from Portugal, instilled in me a deep appreciation for both cultures and languages. This unique upbringing laid the foundation for my future as a translator, fostering a natural fluency in both languages.
My formal education began with a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Bordeaux (2018-2020). Here, I delved into the intricacies of language structure, phonetics, and semantics, further fueling my passion for languages. Eager to specialize, I pursued a Master of Arts in Translation and Interpretation at Princeton University (2021-2022). This advanced program honed my skills in translating complex texts and interpreting in diverse settings, preparing me for the professional world.
My journey as a translator has been marked by diverse and enriching experiences. I began my career with an internship at a prestigious translation agency, where I worked on legal and technical documents, gaining valuable industry insights. Following this, I joined a multinational corporation as a full-time translator, handling a wide range of materials from business reports to marketing campaigns. My role expanded to include localization projects, adapting content to suit regional nuances and cultural preferences.
Also worked as French Language Tutor at the prestigious FluentU online teaching Platform.
In addition to corporate work, I have collaborated with authors and publishers, translating literary works that require a deep understanding of both linguistic subtleties and cultural contexts. My meticulous approach to proofreading and editing ensures that every text I work on is not only accurate but also polished and engaging.
Today, I offer comprehensive translation services, including localization, proofreading, and editing, to clients worldwide. My dual native proficiency, combined with a solid educational background and extensive professional experience, enables me to deliver translations that are both precise and culturally resonant.
