I'm an experienced copy editor, with excellent English skills and a desire to bring out the best in a writer's work. Thanks to my years of editing for peer-reviewed journals, I am capable of meeting high standards, following style guides, and working under deadline.

My approach to editing is to enhance clarity and readability, while preserving a writer's
voice. I adapt quickly to different writing styles and, as a dialect speaker, I feel comfortable with both standard and vernacular English. I am familiar with software such as MS Word, LaTex, and Adobe Creative Cloud

Work Terms

Before a job starts I'd like you to tell me a bit about what you want from the final product. My fee is calculated according to a document's word count, at $6.50 per 1000 words, with payment in installments for longer jobs. After I've finished editing, I'll ask you to review the document before we finalise everything.

For MS Word files, I use the track changes function to record my edits. This will allow you to see all changes made, and give you to the option to review and comment on them, giving you a voice in the editing process.

I am happy to work with documents that require typesetting or layout software (such as LaTex or InDesign). Do you find formatting such documents a nuisance? No problem! I can also take care of layout after editing. My combined layout + editing rate is $9 per 1000 words,
