Writer, Editor, Creative Genius and Supplier of Awesome For All Writing Needs
A graduate from Brigham Young University in the fields of Literature and Technical Writing, I began my professional debut teaching English at a Junior High. This was a very rewarding field which I enjoyed until my first bundle of joy came along and my husband was deployed for the Air Force.
Staying at home meant forgoing the income we so needed, so I found ways to use my skills to supplement our income from home. Freelance writing and editing has become a fun and lucrative outlet for me.
Over the last six years, I have taken on jobs in many different niches, and have found my skills melding quite nicely to each of them.I started out as an editor for websites and e-zines for a medical information company. I started out as a temp. worker, but was brought on with a structured contract due to how pleased the company was with my work.
For four years I worked as a content creator and curriculum specialist for a literature education company until they went out of business. I was the top producer during my time working for them.
I spent two years as the parenting specialist for a teaching blog and was able to share my insights for teaching children to read. I created an entire series on discipline which came very naturally to me as a mother of four wonderful children.
From there, I was hired on as a full-time SEO content creator where I am still situation. This position has taught me a lot about Internet marketing, keyword placement, and search engine processes.
After helping to edit, create, and publish e-books for other clients, I decided to try my hand at publishing my own content through these methods. There are a few e-books penned by me on the market, and they are finding a moderate amount of success in this field.
The moral of the Bio is that I can take on any writing project you can dream up, and will complete it with style, creativity, and punctuality.
Work Terms
As a work-at-home mother, I have a pretty open and flexible schedule. This has allowed me the freedom to work when I need to which has translated to me never missing a deadline.
Contact through e-mail or the Guru channels of messaging is the easiest for me, although I have provided my telephone number for clients who prefer this method of communication.
I prefer payments to be made in increments to help avoid the risk of not getting my agreed upon amount. Half payment after submitting half the work is appreciated for large jobs.
