College Student with a Knack for Writing

Hi, my name is Amanda Vasi, and I am a third-year Public Health student at Agnes Scott College. My writing journey began early in life as I would constantly sit-down to write songs and poems throughout my childhood and into my adulthood. Since high school, I been told by my teachers that my writing is gifted through my expressively creative way with words, leading me to become published four times by Creative Communications before I even graduated high school.

My writing success continued in college as well and took a new academic turn. Attending a prestigious liberal arts college, you are expected to not only know how to write, but to also how to write well. Though challenging and often frustrating, my writing grown even further through the many essays, assignments, and scholarships I have written since my first-year in 2014. All my essays have received superior grades and positive feedback from professors.

Outside the classroom, I have taken my writing skills to my campus community by involving myself with my college student newspaper. I have been serving as a copy editor for the last three years, and have received insight on how to write content articles that capture the attention of the audience. I have also received opportunities to write my own articles for the college newspaper, which have been published on the website. Immersing myself even more within my community, I was offered an opportunity to co-write an article for Dance Informa, one of the largest dance magazines in the U.S. and Australia. The article was published in May 2016.

Work Terms

My hours are flexible and are based on demand, but I am looking for part-time work. Payment is negotiable and based on service of need. I am comfortable communicating via phone, email, Skype, or anything web tool.
