Copy Editor and Proofreader with a Bachelor's Degree in English
"To write is human, to edit is divine." - Stephen King
As an editor, I strive to make sure I match your needs with my services. I offer broad, encompassing choices that address generalized options.
However, as everyone’s process and journey are different, I love to do specific personalization. I will gladly discuss with prospective clients where they are at regarding which service or services will better suit your needs. I want to bring my soul and my adoration for the art of editing to you, to show you what your work of art can be.
An Honors English Major at ISU, I am currently represented by an established literary agency. I am a literary intern for one of the top five Literary Agencies in the country. My job is to read incoming manuscripts and write up my thoughts and opinions for the agency, as well as do thorough grammar and spelling edits for the potential client.
I am not an editor who will sugar coat anything, as I believe the only way for the writing and writer to be better is to hear all sides of criticism.
With over thirteen years of editing experience, I have the skills it takes to edit a manuscript, article, or blog post of any kind. (My niche is fiction, but I have done both fiction and non-fiction works). For fiction, I am experienced with character development, plot, grammar and spelling, as well as word flow and writing style. I am also more than happy to edit nonfiction articles and papers.
If you are looking for an editor who will do the least amount of work for the smallest amount of money, there's no need to contact me. I pride myself on being thorough, dedicated, and passionate about the art of editing, and I will give you my best work if you understand that time and effort goes into producing the most high-quality content I can offer to you.
Thank you for your time, and I hope to speak very soon.
