I’m a writer and editor residing in the United Kingdom, with extensive professional experience of article writing, editing, proofreading, research, and report writing.
I hold a PhD from the Department of English Literature, Language and Linguistics at Newcastle University and MA and BA degrees from the Department of English and Related Literature at the University of York – two of the top-three highest ranked English Departments in the United Kingdom, according to a national review of research excellence in 2014.
I’m a stickler for deadlines (I finished my PhD in just three years) and a perfectionist when it comes to proofreading (my examiners found one typo in my 90,000 word PhD manuscript and I’m still a little bit annoyed about it.)
My main areas of expertise are English Literature – anything from Medieval to contemporary – and Film History, but when it comes to editorial/proofreading work I’m open to working in any area. In fact, when it comes to creating clear and concise content, I believe it’s beneficial to work with someone from outside your field, who can help you convey your message to a non-specialist audience with clarity and precision.
