I am a proud native Indonesian, belonging to the Bugis ethnic group. My educational journey led me to acquire a Bachelor's degree in English linguistics from Hasanuddin University. While navigating various office roles as a secretary, accountant, and administrator, I discovered my passion for translation and interpreting, which I have been pursuing since 2010. Nowadays, I primarily work as a freelance translator and interpreter from the comfort of my home. In addition to my professional endeavours, I also indulge in personal projects, including recycling, crafting, and sewing.
Throughout my career, I have gained valuable experiences in language-related tasks. Here are some of them:
English Buginese and Makassar Malay: language verification, translation, review, categorization, localization, and transcription.
English Bahasa Indonesia Translator: general documents, water treatment facilities, education, health, project surveys, social sciences, construction assessment reports, project annual reports, child care training, and more.
English Bahasa Indonesia interpreter: a preparatory study on water supply, health project impact survey, community development trainings, technical exchange, reclamation and marine protection workshop, and hospital development project.
As I wholeheartedly enjoy working with languages, I find the challenges and continuous learning opportunities incredibly exhilarating. To further enhance my skills, I have embarked on various courses, covering interpreting, the German language, IT, and I aspire to undertake a legal translation course in the near future.
I am delighted to be a full member of Himpunan Penerjemah Indonesia (HPI), the association of Indonesian translators, which has provided me with a professional network and valuable resources for personal growth and development.
