Hi, I'm Andra Barcan!
Web Developer and 3D Designer
From a very young age, I found programming intriguing. I started programming with python, eventually making an easy dice game at the age of 14. After that, I started learning basic HTML and CSS. This eventually lead on into the COVID pandemic where I was suddenly sent home causing me to start digging in more into web development as opposed to web design.
During the pandemic, I also started sailing as a hobby making crossing the Atlantic before the age of 18 my new challenge. Starting the journey without any experience from England in April 2021, at the beginning of February 2022, I eventually crossed the Atlantic on a 40’ monohull. I arrived in the Dominican Republic in May 2022, where in September I was trained 3d CAD design for a catamaran company near Luperón.
I have modelled a few boats for them. I started an Inventory Management System using the Laravel framework for that company in July 2023 for which I manage the servers as well.
