Creative Instructional Technologist with expert writing skills
I've got an M.Ed. in Learning & Technology from Western Governors University, an MA in Media Studies from The New School, and a BA in History, Education, and Dramatic Literature from NYU. I used to be a stand up comedian (and may again be one someday - who knows!). Believe it or not, all of this education and experience helps me organize content and write about complex concepts in a relatable, engaging way.
My work experience is in instructional technology & design, writing (from academic to creative, I do it all), copy editing, content curation, corporate training, CRM database management, & higher education. I'm a published writer. I also make documentaries. And play the drums. And draw. Basically, I'm passionate about all the things.
Some things I've worked on:
- text message learning (this involved breaking down complex concepts into courses that were made of 15 text messages each)
- Articulate Storyline 360 course on Creative Commons licenses
- in-person & online technology courses for a county library system (topics included everything from MS Word to augmented reality)
- corporate training for talent acquisition coordinators & recruiters
- CRM training for college admissions staff
I'd love to combine my interests, experience, and skills to help you with your project!
