Once upon a time I was a biochemist and bioinformatician who departed academia in search of greener pastures. After several years in the pharmaceutical consulting industry managing projects, clients, and developing web apps, financial models, and MS Office workflow solutions for our clients I again found myself wanting something different. Now located in Jackson, WY - gone are the boardrooms and business meetings of Boston, NYC, and SF.

Much of my time in consulting was spent developing innovative Excel models for financial forecasting, business development, and target market identification. All of which involved a high degree of custom functionality, and to top it off often required integration between various MS Office applications. Love it or hate it - MS Office is the ubiquitous platform corporations and businesses utilize to interface with data.
