A Junior Java developer recently transferred from the fitness industry

For the past 15 years, I've dedicated myself to the world of sports as a Strength and Conditioning coach, and a Volleyball coach. It's been an incredible journey filled with growth, discipline, and honing the skills necessary to help athletes perform at their peak. However, a new calling beckons, and I find myself drawn back to a childhood passion for computers and a desire for a fresh challenge in the IT industry.

My transition into the world of technology is driven by a deep-seated love for creativity and the boundless potential that lies within the realm of coding. Over the past few months, I've immersed myself in learning the Java programming language, delving into online courses, practical exercises, and crafting my own small programs, including games like hangman and guess the number. I'm also working diligently to bolster my proficiency in SQL to enhance my programming capabilities.

What I bring from my coaching career to the IT industry is a unique set of skills that bridge the gap between disciplines. Organizational prowess, decision-making acumen, and a knack for adapting to dynamic environments are qualities I've refined in the world of sports. Managing my own business for 15 years has instilled in me a sense of responsibility that I believe is crucial in any professional setting.
